Maintaining laminate veneers is generally simple, but important. As with natural teeth, they need to be kept clean to ensure that their pristine appearance is retained for as long as possible. They are made of a material that is not affected by cavities but they are attached to a part of the tooth which is vulnerable to decay, so it is always recommended a good oral hygiene based on tooth brushing 3 times a day and the use of dental floss, once a day. A non-abrasive toothpaste may be suggested to ensure that cleaning does not compromise the surface of the veneers.

We need 6 days to complete the most of our treatments. During this period, you will need to come to the clinic around 4 times. However when implants are involved you will need to visit us twice with a time lapse of 3 to 5 months in between both visits.

Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap, these two or more anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth and a false tooth/teeth in between. Dental bridges are supported by natural teeth or implants.

A crown is a cover or "cap" your dentist can put over a tooth. A crown restores a damaged or missing tooth to its normal shape, size and function. A crown can protect the tooth or improve the way it looks.

The lifespan of dental crowns depends on how they are treated and cared for. With proper use, its lifespan can last about 15 years. A good dental hygiene routine and regular checkups are recommended. Remember that just because your natural tooth has a crown, it's still susceptible to gum disease, so make sure you take care of your whole mouth.

Veneers and crowns are both dental restoration methods that can improve the look and function of your teeth. The main difference is that a veneer covers only the front of your tooth and a crown covers the entire tooth. A veneer is a very thin layer of porcelain or other materials, about 1 millimeter (mm) in thickness, that is bonded to the front of your existing tooth. A crown is about 2 mm in thickness and covers the whole tooth.
